NWS Severe Weather Spotter Talk SchedulesBasic Spotter Training Talks for 2010National Weather Service offers a variety of spotter training classes held at various locations thoughout the Chicago land aree. These courses are generally offered from February through early May. View available basic spotter talks. Advanced Spotter TrainingThe 19th Annual Advanced Severe Weather Seminars will be held on Friday and Saturday, March 5th and 6th, 2010 This seminar will include a Severe Weather Preparedness portion and Advanced Weather Spotter training and will be held on the campus of Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois. The seminar is sponsored jointly by the DuPage County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, the National Weather Service - Chicago Forecast Office, and the College of DuPage Next Generation Weather Lab.
