What is Skywarn?

ARRL When All Else Fails Logo The Amateur Radio hobby is very diverse. Skywarn is a very special area of public service that allows you to blend your Amateur Radio operating skills with your knowledge of severe weather to provide critical real-time observations and damage assessments to supplement and validate what the National Weather Service Forecast Office is able to see on their radar and other weather instruments.

Basic Weather spotter course on March 5th at Hamfesterrs March Meeting.

Advanced Weather spotter course on March 6th at Wheaton College. Please register early and arrive erarly for good seating.

Annual membership dues are do at the June 2010 meeting. The deadlin is the August meeting, if you want your name to apear in the roster given out in September.
